Club Rules

Members Rules

 1 Club waters will be open from March 1st until October 31st inclusive.

 2 Methods will be orthodox fly-fishing only except for members who have been granted a concession by the committee.

 3 Bag limit will be four trout of 12 inches or more in length per day from club waters. Voluntary and sporting catch and release is permitted and barbless hooks are recommended. Day ticket anglers are restricted to a three fish bag limit of 12 inches or more in length.

 4 All members must carry a valid rod license and club permit at all times when on club waters. Photographic ID must be included on permits. Club permits are not transferable.

 5 Members must close all gates; avoid damage to farmer’s lands, crops or fencing. Members should use paths close to the edge of lakes.

 6 The sale of fish caught on club waters is strictly forbidden.

 7 Strictly no litter is to be discarded at club waters or at adjacent car parking areas. Boats must be returned to the hatchery or mooring completely free of litter

 8 All members must cooperate respectfully with club bailiffs at all times. Bag searches and vehicle searches may be requested at the discretion of the bailiffs.

 THE PENALTY FOR ANYONE BREAKING THESE RULES MAY INCLUDE EXPULSION FROM ARMAGH AND DISTRICT ANGLING CLUB.

Boat Rules

1 Boat hire will be five hours for £10.00 a maximum of two people in the boat at all times.

 2 Fly fishing only is permitted from boats.

 3 Day ticket holders may only fish from a boat when accompanied by a member.

 4 Junior members may only fish from a boat when acompanied by an adult member.

 5 The Club recommends that boat anglers remain seated while fishing.

 6 The Club recommends the use of a flotation aid or life jacket when boat fishing.

 7 Boat anglers must keep a reasonable distance from bank anglers at all times.

 8 The use of drogues is permissable, the use of anchors is not permitted.

 9 Electric engines owned and rented (£5per day) by the club can be used on club boats when fishing Seagahan Dam and Lowry`s Lake.

Float tubes can now be used on Lowry`s Lake (£5 per day)

 10 All litter / rubish should be removed from the boat at the end of each session.

 11 Any damage to boats, oars or trailers should be reported to the hatchery as soon as possible.

 12 Creel returns should be filled in and left with keys in the letterbox at the hatchery when boats are returned.
